The FFF USA device presented to the players of the Racing Mutest Academy

This Monday, February 6th, Clément Simonin, former player of Toronto FC, and Edouard Lacroix, Founder of the Elite Athletes Agency, presented the FFF USA program to several young players of the Racing Mutest Académie.

Supported by the French Football Federation and Major League Soccer (MLS), the FFF USA program is an opportunity for young footballers with a good level of athletic ability and a good level of academic achievement (graduating from high school and having a good level of English are two necessary conditions). This program offers the possibility to study in the greatest American universities while continuing to play soccer at a high level, thanks to a sports scholarship. A true double project combining studies and soccer (2 to 3 matches are scheduled each week).

“A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity’’

Many former players trained at the Racing Mutest Academy, such as Régis Dulck, Léo Keller, Eliott Labeth and Bertin Jacquesson, have already taken the plunge and tried their luck overseas.

Léo Keller, who passed through the Racing Mutest Academy between 2017 and 2021, is now playing in the United States at Florida Atlantic University. “This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. I would have been mad at myself if I had missed it. I’m glad I had the courage to get involved in the FFF US project,” said the 22-year-old.

The afternoon of the presentation allowed the players of the Racing Mutest Academy to better understand this scheme which offers a nice alternative for young footballers who do not manage to get a professional contract in their training club. The objective: to accompany the young players and prepare them for all possible solutions at the end of their training course.
