Mohammed VI International Tournament: a week of learning for our young players

Eighth at the end of a week of competition in Rabat (Morocco), the Racing youth team was able to enrich itself both on a footballing and a human level.

Qualified for the quarterfinals of the Tournoi International Mohammed VI, the youngsters of the Racing Mutes Académie fought a bitter battle against Sevilla FC (2-2). The two teams finally had to decide the match on penalties and in this exercise, it was the Spanish team that came out the best (4-1).

The two classification matches which followed against Flamengo (a 2-1 defeat) and against Aspire Academy (a 1-0 defeat) allowed Régis Arnould to take a broad review of his young squad (composed mainly of players born in 2007 but also some 2008 and 2006) and to play against other types of football.

Mohamed Soumah’s teammates were also able to discover the city of Rabat, its culture, and its sights during an afternoon visit. It was thus an enriching week despite less convincing sporting results than in previous years.
