Frederic Guilbert has returned to Racing Club de Strasbourg Alsace. The 28-year-old defender had already worn the Strasbourg shirt twice on two successive loans from Aston Villa to Racing (from January to May 2021 and from September 2021 to June 2022), playing a total of 46 league matches and 3 in the French Cup.
An academy player of Stade Malherbe Caen, and spending a season with Cherbourg, the Norman also played at the highest national level with the Girondins de Bordeaux before joining the English club Aston Villa in the summer of 2019. Frederic Guilbert, transferred for free, is now ready to write the third page of his history in blue and white and to return to the Meinau stadium where he is very popular.

I have been waiting for this moment for a long time, so I am really very happy,” the player said. “I have always felt good here, in this city and in this club, and I have already lived many good moments, so it’s a logical sequel.
