Adrien Thomasson (29 years old) has signed with RC Lens. Arrived from Nantes in the summer of 2018, the Savoyard will have played 156 matches (all competitions combined) and scored 28 goals wearing the Racing shirt, with which he won the League Cup in 2019.
Marc Keller, the President of Racing, wanted to pay tribute to him: “I sincerely thank Adri for what he brought to Racing. He is a talented footballer and an exemplary man, humble and hardworking, perfectly in line with the club’s values, for which he always gave his best. Everyone here wishes him the best for the rest of his career.“
“I have met beautiful people at Racing and lived wonderful moments, both on and off the field,” the player said. “This club allowed me to progress as a footballer and grow as a man, it gave me beautiful emotions. I have had a lot of exchanges with the leaders lately but despite the two-year extension proposal they made to me and after four and a half years in Strasbourg, I felt it was time for me to leave. What is certain is that Racing will remain in my heart forever and I want to thank the President, the leaders, my teammates, my coaches, the employees, and the supporters, who I will never forget.”
