Racing honors the volunteers

Placed under the sign of the amateur soccer and baptized ” Match of the Alsatian soccer “, the Racing-Lorient game of Sunday, November 13 honored the volunteers, who work daily in the organization. 700 of them were invited to the Meinau stadium. The President of Racing, Marc Keller, was keen to pay tribute to them during a moment of conviviality: “We wanted to highlight the Alsatian volunteers because we believe that they are the heart of our football. I have a lot of admiration and respect for their involvement and their work, done with passion and humility.

Sabryna Keller, President and founder of the “Femmes de Foot” association, which manages Racing’s social and solidarity operations, was delighted with the presence of many women and also praised the commitment of volunteers: “In soccer, of course, but also in many other areas where nothing would be possible without them, without their daily involvement. Being a volunteer means above all having a heart, passion and benevolence. It means knowing how to give your time without expecting anything in return, getting involved, committing yourself, sharing. Loving others and loving what you do.

For several years, the Racing Club de Strasbourg Alsace, a club rooted in its territory, has been carrying out numerous actions in connection with amateur football, through its professional team but also through the Racing Mutest Academy. With its new scheme, “One Football”, unveiled last Sunday, the club will further accentuate its actions throughout the Alsace territory and strengthen its proximity with the 550 clubs in the region, its leaders, its licensees and volunteers.
