Professional development at the heart of the work on the Stade de la Meinau

The renovation and extension work on the Stade de la Meinau began in the summer of 2023. Supported by the Eurométropole of Strasbourg in partnership with the Grand Est Region, the CEA, the city of Strasbourg and Racing Club de Strasbourg, the work is continuing with the elevation of the second level of the future South Stand.

This Thursday, February 22, a press conference was organized to provide an update on this work. Among the stakeholders present were: Pia Imbs, President and Vincent Debes Vice-President in charge of sport of the Eurometropolis of Strasbourg, Guillaume Maréchal, Vice-President of the Grand Est Region responsible for Youth and Sport, Jean-Philippe Maurer, vice-president of the European Community of Alsace in charge of networks and mobility, Owusu Tufuor, deputy mayor of Strasbourg in charge of sports and sports and leisure facilities, and Marc Keller, President of Racing.

This event was an opportunity to highlight those employees who benefit from the project’s professional development system, as desired by the Strasbourg Eurometropolis. As planned in the work specifications, the renovation of the Stade de la Meinau also becomes a place of learning and integration. A total of 60,000 hours of work will be entrusted to people in job development in our territory thanks to a partnership between the companies involved and Relais 2D / Relais Chantiers.
