Racing Club de Strasbourg Alsace and Aston Villa FC (England) have reached an agreement for the loan of Morgan Sanson.
Loaned to Racing (without an option to buy) by Aston Villa until the end of the season, Morgan Sanson returns to the French league that he left in January 2021. A native of Saint-Doulchard (Cher), this experienced and technical midfielder (220 Ligue 1 matches, 11 selections in prospects), with a great understanding of the game, then joined Le Mans and Montpellier-Hérault, before being transferred to Olympique de Marseille, a club with which he played in the Europa League final in 2018.
“We were looking for a player to replace Adrien Thomasson who left for Lens,” explains Marc Keller, President of Racing. “We were attracted to Morgan Sanson, not only for his footballing qualities but also for his willingness to join us and contribute to this very important second part of the championship.”
