Ludovic Ajorque to Mainz

Racing Club de Strasbourg Alsace and 1.FSV Mainz 05 (Germany) have reached an agreement for the transfer of Ludovic Ajorque (29 years old) to Mainz. Arriving from Clermont-Foot in the summer of 2018, the Reunionese striker played 151 matches (all competitions combined) and scored 51 goals in the Racing shirt, with whom he won the League Cup in 2019.

I want to warmly thank Ludo for these years spent with us,” said Marc Keller, President of RCSA. “We will keep here the memory of a very good player, who always gave everything for Racing, but also of a respectful and exemplary boy, who always behaved very well. I know he was very attached to Racing but he wanted to discover something else after four and a half years here. We now wish him the best in his new colors.

For his part, Ludovic Ajorque spoke about his Racing years with a lot of emotion: “I will only remember the positive. I arrived here at 24 years old and I’m leaving at almost 29 years old. Doing 4 years and a half in the same club, nowadays, is not common. And it shows the attachment I have for Racing. I grew here as a man and as a footballer. I had the chance to become a father for the first time with the birth of my son in Strasbourg. This city and club are part of my life and will always be engraved in my heart. I can say that I will always be Strasbourgian!
