Habib Diarra signs on until 2027

The young Racing Mutest Académie midfielder has extended his contract with the club for two more years until 30 June 2017.

Arriving at Racing in 2018 from Mulhouse, Habib Diarra quickly passed through the “Bleu et Blanc” youth teams. On 1 July 2021, Diarra signed his first professional contract for three years. The French international – who has played five matches for France U18s – extends his stay for an additional season on 4 January 2022.

Captain of Racing’s U18s in the Gambardella Cup last season, Diarra earned his first start in Ligue 1 Uber Eats against Troyes on 17 April 2022, becoming the 13th youngest academy player in the club’s history to play in the top tier of French football at 18 years and 105 days.

Diarra played four Ligue 1 games during the 2021/22 season and scored against Charleroi in the recent pre-season friendly.

Marc Keller, President of Racing Club de Strasbourg Alsace said: “We’re very happy with Habib Diarra’s extension. It’s a great sign of confidence in his formative club. Thanks to the very good work carried out within the Racing Mutest Académie, the club can once again rely on the youth players from its ranks to reinforce the first team. Habib Diarra will continue his progression with us and it’s always a source of pride to see our Racing-trained players wearing the first team jersey.”
