“I was born in Senegal and arrived at five or six years old in Alsace. I started playing football at FC Mulhouse, I played there until I was 14 before signing for Racing at 15, joining the Racing Mutest Académie.”
“I feel very good. There’s a good cohesion, a good atmosphere. When you train with Kévin Gameiro, Ludovic Ajorque, Jeanricner Bellegarde or Sanjin Prcic, you gain experience even in training. When you see them play, you see the reality. I found my feet, and they were always there for me. They’re like big brothers to me. This is what made my adaptation easier. When I was at the [Racing] training centre, we came to the stadium to watch the matches. We looked at the players, we admired them. Now to train with them is something incredible. For me, every training session is a match, so I grasp whatever there is to grasp. My goal is to play even more minutes, to have even more confidence in the squad and the coach and to show my qualities.”
“In 10 years, the club has had a long journey, and seeing some youngsters from the Academy training with the professionals, it also shows that the club is growing. It’s the club of the [Alsace] region. Wearing the Racing jersey is a big deal. Also, we have our supporters who are there, who get behind us in each match and it really shows that we’re united.”
“I want to accomplish a lot in the Racing jersey. Make the club proud and show that Racing is a great team.”
