After joining Racing in the summer of 2021 from Rennes, Gerzino Nyamsi played 69 matches for the club (67 starts). The central defender very quickly found his feet in Alsace, delivering an assist in his first match at the Stade de la Meinau, on September 17, 2021 during the derby against Metz (3-0). He was then a major player in the 2021-2022 season which saw the team finish in sixth place in Ligue 1 Uber Eats. With 35 matches played, he was the most used central defender during that season, an indisputable starter. His only goal in Alsatian colours was of capital importance during the 2022-2023 season, having opened the scoring against Auxerre on March 19, 2023.
