Five Racing players called up for international duty

Our quintet will represent their respective national teams during the coming internationalbreak, which will begin next week.

Alexander Djiku – Ghana

The Racing vice-captain will defend the colours of the Black Stars in two friendly matches. The first against Brazil, which will be played on 23 September at the Stade Océane (Le Havre) and the second against Nicaragua (27 September 27, in Lorca, Spain).

Sanjin Prcic – Bosnia-Herzegovina

A leader of Ivaylo Petev’s side, Sanjin Prcic is again called up for Bosnia-Herzegovina, who sit first in their Nations League group with eight points. ‘Sani’ and his teammates will host Montenegro (23 September) before finishing the group stage in Romania (26 September).

Matz Sels – Belgium

Starring for Racing since the start of the season, Matz Sels will once again join up with the Belgian squad. Second in Group D (League A) of the Nations League, the Red Devils will face Wales (22 September) and then travel to the Netherlands (25 September) to close out the group stage.

Eiji Kawashima – Japan

The experienced goalkeeper with 95 international appearances features again for the Samurai Blue. Two matches are on Japan’s agenda against the United States (23 September) and Ecuador (27
September) as part of the Kirin Challenge Cup.

Ismael Doukoure – France U20

Ismaël Doukouré is one of 22 players selected by Landry Chauvin. The Racing central defender – who has played four Ligue 1 Uber Eats games with Racing so far this season – will join the France U20 squad on 18 September. Les Bleus will fly the next day to Tunisia, where they will face their counterpart from the host country twice (21 and 24 September). France U20s will finish with a friendly match against the youngsters of Club Africain de Tunis on 26 September, 19:00 CEST. The three matches will be played at the Hammadi-Agrebi Olympic Stadium in Rades.
