The La Rotonde gymnasium vibrated this Sunday, January 29th during the final of the 6th edition of the U11 European Futsal Cup. With 2,400 spectators present throughout the weekend, futsal fans were able to witness some beautiful matches between the 20 participating teams.
Kevin Gameiro as the ambassador of this edition
For this 2023 edition, which once again hosted a prestigious lineup (FC Barcelona, Juventus Turin, Benfica, etc.), French international striker Kevin Gameiro of Racing was the patron. The number 9 from Strasbourg even graced the competition with his presence on Saturday morning to launch the tournament.
Servette Geneva FC wins the competition
After a weekend of competition between all the participating teams, it was finally the Swiss club, Servette Geneva, who emerged as the winner of this tournament for U11 players. In the final, the Swiss beat Juventus Turin 3-2 after an intense match. And it was another Strasbourg player, Tom Saettel from the Racing Mutest Academy, who kicked off the final match of the weekend. Servette thus succeeds RSC Anderlecht.
We’ll see each ot again on January 27th and 28th, 2024 to witness the 7th edition of the tournament, which is very exciting!
